Building a Merit Machine: I Perfect the Heavenly Dao

Qin Huai, a once-in-ten-thousand-years genius at Dizang University, was invited to join the Merit Machine Development Program.

When the new model was unveiled, its environmental merit was slashed.

Qin Huai's name spread throughout the Underworld.

Dizang: I vow not to attain Buddhahood until Hell is empty.

Qin Huai: It can't be empty. I'm planning a tourism project here.

King Yama: The Mirror of Retribution has exposed your crimes. You are sentenced to the Great Howling Hell.

Qin Huai: Absolutely not. Let's hold a three-way meeting first.

Marshal Zhongtan: This King Yama is unfair in his rewards and punishments. Punish him first!

Qin Huai: In the Underworld, a mere divine general like you doesn't get to give orders!

And yet, all this was only the beginning.

The Great Emperor: Oh? The Underworld has talent like this?

Yaoji: I'd like to meet him.

Dao Lord Xuhuang: Talent is what's most lacking in this day and age! Why not poach him?

Guanyin: I agree.

The question of Qin Huai's appointment sparked another scramble to claim him.
