Siheyuan: Starting Out as the Neighbor, Old Wang

Wang Kun unexpectedly transmigrates to the world of the Siheyuan courtyard house.

He becomes an even bigger fool than Silly Zhu, and everyone in the courtyard calls him Wang the Fool.

His father has only just died when the neighborhood vultures show up to arrange the funeral and seize the Wang family's belongings.

While he is overcome with grief, they devour all the banquet food. The dishes and furniture are gone too?

"Fine. If you won't show me any kindness, don't expect any from me!"

From then on, Wang the Fool becomes the Old Wang Next Door.

Whenever anyone in the courtyard needs help, they go to Old Wang.

Qin Huairu: "We're out of vegetables. I'll go borrow some from Old Wang next door."

She doesn't come back for an hour!

Yu Li: "Hmph! I'll go borrow Old Wang's bicycle!"

She doesn't come back for half a day!

Lou Xiao'e: "Xu Damao is no good? I'll go find Old Wang!"

A year later.

Xu Damao: "Ezi, why are you divorcing me? And why are you giving our son the surname Wang?"
