Journey to the West: I Told You to Spread the Faith, Not Mahayana Buddhism

Gu Changsheng transmigrated to the Primordial World and became a nominal disciple of the Two Sages of the West. With no System awakening and only mediocre talent, he could only keep a low profile and lie low to survive the Calamity of Investiture of the Gods.

To repay the Two Sages of the West for their teachings, Gu Changsheng took on a few disciples, helping Buddhism spread and grow before lying low to avoid the later stages of the Calamity of Journey to the West.

Unexpectedly, each of his disciples had an extraordinary identity.

The things Gu Changsheng casually taught them, along with the novels from his previous life that he explained to them, were all understood by his disciples as extraordinary divine abilities!

Li Shimin: "I am the Human Emperor. I shall reclaim the Human Emperor's Seal and make all of humanity into Tathagatas!"

Yang Chan: "What? My father, Yang Tianyou, needs Jin Chan Zi's reincarnation to deliver his soul? No, thank you! Those who recite my true name shall behold eternal life in the cycle of reincarnation!"

When Tathagata Buddha prepared to send Guanyin Bodhisattva to the Tang Empire in the East to enlighten Tang Monk and begin his journey west to fetch the scriptures, he discovered that the entire Primordial World had fallen into chaos.
