Eerie Descent: Whatever, I'll Handle It

If this fish had arrived any later, how many years would humanity need before it could fight back?

On October 14, 2022, a post went viral across the internet.

The post included an image uploaded by its author: a red fish ten thousand times larger than Blue Star, baring billions of teeth as it stared hungrily at the tiny planet with six eyes the size of moons.

“I don't think humanity could beat that fish even if we were on the brink of extinction.”

“My fear of giant things is kicking in.”

“With something that huge, so close to Blue Star, shouldn't the planet have shattered already?”

“Sweating yellow bean.”

Then a comment that seemed completely out of place caught the attention of internet users.

“Doesn't matter. I'll handle it.”

The over-the-top remark spread like wildfire, becoming a joke across the internet.

A hundred days later, the red fish really did descend upon Blue Star, plunging the entire world into terror.

Then that man stepped forward: “Doesn't matter. I'll handle it.”
