Great Ming: My Merits Threaten the Throne! Old Zhu Forces Me to Marry a Princess

Chen Xi, a psychologist skilled at reading people's minds, rose from the ranks to become General Zhaowu after arriving in the Ming dynasty. After capturing twelve cities in Northern Yuan, he knew his achievements had made him a threat to the throne, so he kept one card up his sleeve.

Zhu Yuanzhang knew that when Chen Xi returned from this campaign, he would become a grave threat. He was filled with worry, until Empress Ma offered him a suggestion: "Tell me, isn't Princess Ningguo old enough to marry?"

And so the great drama between the sly emperor and his equally sly minister began!

"Your Majesty, General Zhaowu has taken twelve cities in succession. The Yuan envoy sent ten thousand taels of gold overnight, begging you to make him stop!"

"Your Majesty, General Zhaowu defeated Northern Yuan's 300,000 troops with just 100,000 men and not a single casualty! 200,000 Yuan soldiers surrendered, and the remaining 100,000 froze to death in the Gobi!"

"Your Majesty, General Zhaowu has led 100,000 cavalry from the northern deserts to storm Jinling. He's already at the palace gates!"

"Your Majesty..."

Zhu Yuanzhang kicked the eunuch away and snapped, "Get out!"
