I Write Books in the Great Ming, and Zhu Yuanzhang Shows Up to Demand an Update

Ye You transmigrates to an ancient parallel world, during the eleventh year of the Hongwu era of the Ming Dynasty. He awakens the Novel-Writing System and makes a living by writing books.

His first book, Romance of the Three Kingdoms, becomes a bestseller among ordinary people while it is being serialized.

Li Qi, son of Li Shanchang, becomes so engrossed in reading that Zhu Yuanzhang punishes him.

Risking his life, he recommends the book to Zhu Yuanzhang.

Zhu Yuanzhang reads it through the night and exclaims, "What a remarkable book! What a good book!"

After court, accompanied by Li Qi, he secretly leaves the palace to visit Ye You.

Zhu Yuanzhang and Ye You hit it off at once and become close friends.

The closer they grow, the more he misses Zhu Biao, who was frail and sickly and had been fostered at Mount Wutai since childhood.

Ten years ago, thirteen-year-old Zhu Biao disappeared, and no word of him has been heard since.

Zhu Yuanzhang grows increasingly suspicious that Ye You might be Zhu Biao, so he sends people to investigate.

It turns out Ye You really is Zhu Biao, and Zhu Yuanzhang is overjoyed.

Zhu Yuanzhang gazes at Ye You with relief. "One day, he will become ruler of the realm and shoulder the weight of the world. For now, let him enjoy being a happy writer!"
