He's a Liar, But I Like Him

Han Ling, a marketing manager just entering middle age, can't find a way to take it easy, but can't keep up with the rat race either.

After being beaten up by a group of people, he unexpectedly transmigrates to a completely different parallel world, one resembling ancient China's Song or Ming dynasty.

Starting out penniless, he considers himself a con man, yet somehow he always leaves people feeling grateful and deeply moved.

At first, he doesn't even spare beggars' last scraps of food. Later, poor families can leave their doors open at night.

From a lowly worker in a tofu-making family to a business magnate.

From a beggar everyone avoids to a man who wins the heart of a beautiful woman.

From a nobody to someone who loses sleep over the nation's grand ambitions.

Is it his con artistry? No one calls him a fraud, except the beautiful women he fancies, who tease him.

Is it the System? It never rewards him with money or goods.

Is it his intelligence? Perhaps.

Is it his looks? Ha! Of course he's got those...

He knows people all over the world, but how many truly understand him? Perhaps that's something only Han Ling and his mutated System can discuss in private.

There's a saying around town: Better to let your monthly votes rot in your hand than let Han Ling sweet-talk you. Are you ready?
