Hong Kong Films: A Crime Lord Rises, Starting with Taking Control of Tuen Mun

Ye Hui transmigrated into the Hong Kong underworld of the 1980s, becoming a low-ranking member of the Number Gang.

Hong Kong Island was descending into chaos and disorder. He seized his chance and rose to power amid the turmoil and darkness.

He started a newspaper, made movies, acquired a television station, and built a media empire.

He secured land rights, built skyscrapers, and entered real estate to take on the ten wealthiest tycoons.

He established a mercenary group, acquired power and utility companies, intervened in the oil trade, wielded influence across the financial world, and became one of the three forces dominating real estate.

Entertainment mogul, newspaper magnate, rising star of finance, richest man on Hong Kong Island: these were among his many labels.

At first, people called him a low-ranking gangster. Later, some called him Brother Hui. Then more and more called him Young Master Hui. In the end, everyone called him Mr. Ye.

Ye Hui: a legendary figure who clawed his way up from the bottom of Hong Kong Island, a hidden hand manipulating the world order.
