Journey to the West: Buddhism Panics After Tang Sanzang Develops a Split Personality

Lu Changsheng discovers that he has actually transmigrated!

And he has become the Tang Dynasty's holy monk, a coward by nature who would be scared stiff at the sight of a tiger.

But he isn't the only soul in this body. There are two souls sharing it.

By day, the first personality controls the body. By night, the second personality takes over.

Whenever night falls, the world is at the mercy of a demon monk.

Just as Lu Changsheng discovers that Tang Sanzang has been captured by General Yin and is scared out of his wits...

The sun sets, and night blankets the sky.

Clad in a black kasaya, Lu Changsheng slaughters every monster on Shuangcha Ridge, sending shockwaves through Spirit Mountain!

From then on, night becomes every monster's nightmare along the journey west.

The monsters cry, "That demon monk, the god of slaughter, is back! Run!"

Wukong says, "Master! Let's talk this over. There's no need to go that far!"

And so Lu Changqing stops panicking, while the Buddhist sect starts to panic.

When Tang Sanzang finally completes his journey west and reaches Spirit Mountain,

he stares at the mountain, already drenched in blood from Lu Changsheng's slaughter, and is left speechless.

"I only wanted to obtain the scriptures! Why are all the Buddhas dead?!"
