War of Resistance: I Told You to Hold the Rear, Not Wipe Them All Out

After transmigrating into a world at war with Japan, Chen Hannian becomes the commander of a county militia battalion.

From the start, at Cangyun Ridge, he covers the retreat of Li Yunlong's New First Regiment as they break through the Japanese lines head-on.

He awakens the Super Soldier System: the more enemies he kills, the more equipment and elite soldiers he gets.

First, he puts together a company outfitted with German gear and pounds the Japanese into the ground.

Even after Li Yunlong and the others withdraw, Chen Hannian is still holding the rear.

First the Sakata Regiment is crushed, then the Japanese brigade, and then the division.

Li Yunlong: We've broken through safely!

The commander-in-chief: What?! Everyone got out? Then who's still holding the rear at Cangyun Ridge?

Units across the region all say they have no idea.

Finally, the commander-in-chief calls: Chen Hannian, I told you to cover the retreat, not wipe them all out!

Chen Hannian: Sorry, sir. This is a matter of national hatred and personal vengeance. I'll smash those Japanese devils to bits!

After fifty mushroom bombs were dropped in succession on the Japanese islands, the world grew very quiet...
