Eerie: Horror Instances

A hundred years ago, terrifying instances descended upon the world. A Gate to Hell took shape in everyone's mind. Its arrival changed the boundary between life and death, changed the bourgeoisie, and even transformed the world's established order.

Everyone could choose to enter an instance and take on its challenges. Elderly people suffering from terminal illnesses emerged not only vigorous and healthy, but rejuvenated. Dirt-poor nobodies who went through an instance could become handsome, rich, and powerful in the blink of an eye. Flying through the skies, burrowing underground, and gaining supernatural abilities all seemed within reach in this extraordinary age.

But as the death rate continued to soar, more and more people were buried inside forever. The dreamers backed down, and the gamblers grew afraid. You only get one life, and most people were unwilling to gamble on survival odds of one in ten million. Unless they were truly desperate.

Lin Wei was clearly one of that small, wretched handful of unlucky people. He saved someone, but accidentally killed someone else. Facing a life sentence, he could only resolutely choose to enter an instance.
