You Were Supposed to Exile the Saintess, So Why Are You Teaching Her Dragon-Slaying Techniques?

My name is Qiao Xiu. I transmigrated to a world of swords and magic.

The nobles here are anything but noble. They're arrogant, selfish, greedy, shameless, and cruel.

I'm faced with an utterly unreasonable choice.

I have to help the Saintess, my fiancée, who was framed despite leading troops into battle, spearheading reforms, toiling day and night for the people, and making countless contributions to the kingdom.

The king gives me two options.

If I agree, I'll be silenced on the spot, or used as a scapegoat for the people's anger later.

If I refuse, I'll be executed tomorrow on some trumped-up charge.

So I choose a third option.

Take the Saintess and run, then put my dragon-slaying skills to practical use and rebel!

I will bring the flame of civilization to this dark, savage land. I'm doing the right thing: eradicating hunger, driving out disease, ** evil, ending wars, advancing society, and giving those who want change a second chance to choose.

Hang every stinking ** who refuses to know their place!

King: ??? You unfilial brat! I'm your own father, and you're rebelling against me, then making me do reform through labor?
