I’m Taking the Civil Service Exam in the Underworld

On the fifteenth day of the eighth lunar month, the Ghost Festival, Mo Jiangyuan went out to buy some things. On his way home, he passed a river and saw three children drowning. A strong swimmer, he jumped in at once to rescue them. But the summer current was too swift. After saving all three children, he was exhausted and swept away by the river, arriving in the underworld to report for duty. Because he was born under an extremely yin fate and had done a good deed, he qualified to become a probationary ghost officer. Ghost officers can live in the mortal world in a living person's form, ageless and immortal, neither born nor destroyed. But to become a full-fledged ghost officer, he had to pass the civil service exam. So Mo Jiangyuan began preparing for the exam in the underworld. Since he had burned plenty of paper money for himself while alive, he became a wealthy man in the underworld. He signed up for the most expensive prep course, got a civil service exam System, and began a life of studying for the exam while catching ghosts.
