A Parallel World of Magic and Martial Arts

By some strange twist of fate, I ended up in a parallel world full of all kinds of wondrous things. Humanity here lives in a world roamed by magical beasts, and the careers people aspire to and admire are mages and martial artists.

This world is also full of the unknown and danger.

How can a little deerhound possibly be a phantom spirit? Why did it lead me to this world?

Everything is unfamiliar. How am I supposed to face it all?

Question: "Are you a mage?"

Protagonist: "Yeah!"

Question: "Then why don't you cast spells from a distance?"

Protagonist: "Can't I just go up and beat him with my little fists?"

Question: "Are you a martial artist?"

Protagonist: "No!"

Question: "Then why can you take such a beating?"

Protagonist: "I eat well, and I'm in great shape."
