Siheyuan: Starting with Building an Emergency Department

Xiao Yi, a doctoral student in emergency medicine, transmigrates to the 1940s and the world of Love in the Courtyard.

After living there for 22 years, Xiao Yi graduates from medical school and sets out on the path to becoming a doctor once more.

At this time, emergency medicine is not yet an independent discipline.

At this time, ambulance stations, the predecessors of emergency departments, are not taken seriously either.

With his expertise in emergency medicine, Xiao Yi resolves to build an emergency department suited to the era.

Who would have thought that on his first day reporting to the hospital, he would run into his sworn enemy, Jia Dongxu?

"You encounter a critically injured patient. Choose one: 1. Perform a replantation of the severed limb and help the patient stand again. Reward: kidney transplant surgery."

"2. Persuade the family to consent to amputation. Reward: Master-level direct-pressure hemostasis."

Looking at the choices presented by the System, Xiao Yi selects the second without hesitation.

Xiao Yi works toward his goal, with the neighbors in the courtyard to keep him entertained in his spare time.

Years later, Xiao Yi realizes that somewhere along the way, he has become the founder of emergency medicine.
