Showbiz: One Song at the Sisters Who Make Waves Finale Made Me Go Viral

As Chinese-language music declined, Tang Yu insisted on creating original Chinese-language music, only to be blacklisted.

Then he wrote "Stars Lighting Up" for a female livestreamer, and it became a huge hit across the internet. Netizens hailed him as the light of Chinese pop music.

Wang Xinning saw this and sought out the livestreamer to commission a song,

planning to compete with Zheng Yan on the Sisters Who Make Waves stage.

It was to be a direct confrontation between Chinese pop and the Korean Wave.

But as it turned out,

the livestreamer mistook Wang Xinning for a scammer and casually agreed, without taking the songwriting seriously at all.

Two days later, just two hours before the finals,

when the livestreamer learned Wang Xinning wasn't a scammer, both of them fell apart.

Without an original new song, they could only cover foreign music.

And Chinese pop would still be looked down on.

Just then,

Tang Yu walked onto the Sisters Who Make Waves stage with a pen and wrote down "Love You."

"Holy crap! This is so sweet, guys."

"I can't believe Chinese pop can have such an incredible original song."

"Hahaha! I'm officially calling Wang Xinning the Sweetheart Queen."
