The Two Sages Merge, and Chang'e and Ruoshui Fight to Date Me

The Buddhas of the Western Heaven feared that the Great Sage Equal to Heaven, Sun Wukong, was too powerful and unruly, and that he would be impossible to control once he became a Buddha.

So the real Monkey King, Sun Wukong, was sealed beneath the Purple Gold Alms Bowl, while the fake Monkey King, Liu Er Mihou, accompanied Tang Sanzang on his journey west to obtain the scriptures.

Sun Wukong fought to break through the seal, destroying his body in the process. Only a sliver of his consciousness remained, wandering through the heavens.

Lu Ze, an overworked office drone, plunged off a cliff in a car accident and transmigrated into Sun Wukong's consciousness, where he was reborn.

No golden finger, no System, no secret identity, not even a body.

Yang Jian, the Erlang God, became a thorn in the Jade Emperor's side over the matter of his mother, Yao Ji. His many military victories also made him too powerful for the emperor's comfort, and he was banished.

The two sages merge. Sun Wukong: The gods and Buddhas of the heavens betrayed me, so I'll slaughter them all!

Yang Jian: The Jade Emperor is dead today. Chang'e, the beauty, is mine!

Chang'e: The old heavenly laws bound us, but now they're gone. Second Brother, wait for me!

Ruoshui: True Lord Erlang, ever since you sent me back to the Celestial River...
