I Only Make Cheap Knockoff Movies, and Mushroom House Exposes Me

The latest season of Mushroom House arrives in a remote mountain village.

While touring the village, the guests find the locals filming a shoddy knockoff movie. The director is a young man named Lu Wei.

After investigating, they discover that Lu Wei is actually Jia Wuwei, a director notorious for his many scandals in the film industry.

As the show's crew digs deeper, Yang Mi, Nazha, Zifeng, and the others discover that this director of bad movies has other identities too.

He is actually the acclaimed director Zhen Youcai, who made films such as Mr. Tree and Dying to Survive.

He is also a master calligrapher whose skills have won over the Calligraphy Association.

At the same time, he's a famous author who wrote works such as The Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, and The Three-Body Problem…

Faced with Lu Wei's endless list of identities, the Mushroom House guests are all dumbfounded, while the audience is utterly thrilled.
