Great Ming: You Were Told to Lead an Army, but You Started an Industrial Revolution

In the twentieth year of Hongwu, Zhu Bai proposed that the Ming Empire transform from an agricultural society into an industrial one.

Zhu Yuanzhang refused.

As luck would have it, a band of Japanese pirates looted their way to Yingtian Prefecture and spent a day there.

Zhu Yuanzhang was furious.

Zhu Bai asked to lead troops in pursuit.

He also asked to be enfeoffed in Shanghai County.

After that, the spinning machine, light bulb, steam engine, internal combustion engine, firearms, steamships... appeared one after another, ushering in the Industrial Revolution.

Shanghai County became one of the most prosperous industrial cities around.
