Zhongli: Storytelling Before the First Emperor, Farewell to the Gods

After waking from a long sleep, the oldest god of Teyvat, the Geo Archon Rex Lapis, found himself in the world of Immortal Qin.

He became a storyteller at the Liyun Tower.

This Qin dynasty was not that Qin dynasty.

More than eight hundred years after the age when the Yellow Emperor Xuanyuan united the ancient world, the four regions of the Southern Heavens, the Northern Desert, Ancient Qin, and Western Chu were unified under a single empire: the Immortal Qin Empire.

Its rulers were immortals. They could summon wind and rain, create life, split open heaven and earth, stir rivers and seas, and shatter the void.

Above the common people were officials, above the officials was the emperor, and above the emperor was Heaven.

That day, Heaven's envoy arrived at the Xianyang Palace.

By Heaven's decree, a certain storyteller was to be arrested...

Defy Heaven, or submit to it.

The First Emperor was at a loss!

Two emperors ruled from the court!

As Zhongli told his tale,

the story of the Immortal Qin world's farewell to the gods slowly unfolded...
