Hong Kong Films: Uh-Oh, This Doctor Seems a Little Off

Chen Qing transmigrates to a parallel world where Hong Kong films have merged, and grows up alongside Ruan Mei from A Big Era.

He becomes a senior consultant surgeon at Elizabeth Hospital and an external forensic consultant.

But because he looks rather fierce and gives off an especially menacing air, cops stop him for questioning whenever he walks down the street. Even when he helps an old lady cross the road, she cries for help.

Chen Qing had hoped to spend his free time making those classic Hong Kong films and running a small side business, but those damned thugs keep harassing him.

At his wit's end, he joins forces with the police superintendent to go on a killing spree and rid this land of vermin.

After that, he makes Infernal Affairs, King of Comedy, and A Better Tomorrow, filming Hong Kong movies in a world of Hong Kong movies.

He makes anime and develops games, getting ahead of Neon in exporting culture in the opposite direction.

Years later, when Chen Qing appears on the cover of Time magazine, he has a whole string of titles to his name: the world's top surgeon, the world's richest man, a financial titan, a ten-billion-dollar doctor, a business magnate of the century, king of film and television, a champion of justice, and a shining light of the Chinese people, Mr. Chen Qing...
