NBA: Back to 1984, Surpassing Jordan

Lin Feng returns to 1984, the year he and Michael Jordan enter the draft.

His scouting report says his physical gifts are on par with Jordan's, and he is hailed as a beacon of hope for Asia.

Yet because he is Asian, the league gives him the cold shoulder.

While Jordan wins Rookie of the Year with averages of 28.2 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 5.9 assists per game,

Lin Feng struggles in the minor leagues.

To make matters worse,

he is cut by two teams in the span of just two weeks near the end of his contract.

If the Warriors cut him next,

he will not only lose out on his salary, but also lose his chance to play in the NBA forever.

On the eve of his final game,

Lin Feng lies awake all night on a teammate's couch.

He has no idea what the future holds.

But on this day, Heaven chooses to show favor to this yellow-skinned player.

Returning to 1984, a legend is born.
