Great Ming: My Dad Transmigrated Early and Became Zhu Yuanzhang

His father mysteriously disappeared, and Zhu Yi transmigrated to the Ming Dynasty.

With no other choice, Zhu Yi became a cook to make ends meet. His dishes soon became all the rage in the capital.

What he didn't know was that his father had disappeared because he had transmigrated to the Ming Dynasty ahead of him, and was now none other than the reigning emperor, Zhu Yuanzhang.

In the imperial palace, Zhu Yuanzhang heard that someone knew how to make tomato and egg stir-fry. Excited, he hurried to a restaurant to test the owner with a secret phrase.

"Palace Jade Liquid Wine?"

But the owner had no idea what he meant, so Zhu Yuanzhang left disappointed.

Meanwhile,

Zhu Yi mistakenly thought the owner was a fellow transmigrator, so he hurriedly tried a secret phrase of his own: "The odd changes, the even stays the same?"

This time, too, the owner had no idea what he meant.

Later, Zhu Yuanzhang guessed that there was another transmigrator and had a notice posted throughout the capital: "Complete the couplet: The symbols are plotted on the unit circle. Anyone who can supply the matching line will receive a hundred taels of silver!"

Much later,

after Zhu Yi and Zhu Yuanzhang had become sworn brothers, they discovered that they were actually father and son!
