Great Ming: You Were Supposed to Build the Nation Through Agriculture, Not Start an Industrial Revolution

After transmigrating to the twenty-fifth year of the Hongwu reign of the Ming Dynasty, Zhu Xiong becomes the eldest imperial grandson, abandoned among the common folk.

He only wanted to farm a little and develop some hybrid rice, potatoes, and the like.

He wanted to become a modern-day Shennong, a sage of agriculture for the Ming Dynasty.

But he never expected to run into Zhu Yuanzhang, who was traveling incognito.

Looking at the astonishingly productive crops in the fields, Zhu Yuanzhang was stunned.

"You have a red cannon with such incredible power, and you're using it for artificial rain?"

"If we modified transport vehicles to carry people, wouldn't our Ming army be able to march a thousand li a day?"

"Using a glider to spray pesticides? What a waste!"

So Zhu Yuanzhang vigorously promoted agriculture and, along the way, brought the Ming Dynasty's industrial age forward by several centuries.

Mighty ocean-going ships crossed the four seas, with sturdy hulls and powerful cannons opening the gates to a new world!

Zhu Yuanzhang came before Zhu Xiong and declared proudly, "You truly are my good imperial grandson. You are the only one who can inherit the throne!"

"I only wanted to strengthen the country through agriculture, and you went and started an Industrial Revolution?"
