Human dreams are actually a parallel world. This world is strange and fantastical, filled with immortal heroes, ghosts, gods, and famous figures from China and abroad who once appeared in history. As the layers of cloud and mist surrounding this world were gradually peeled back, some of the people who discovered it first formed an organization and established rules for it. Under those rules, some people manage it while others carry them out. They named this second world the "Black Dream" and divided it into nine layers: the Nine Dream Realms. Each layer is ruled by a Dream Lord, with capable individuals serving under each one. Some people, such as dream-weavers, are permanently assigned to stabilize the dream and manage the exchanges between the two worlds. As the protagonist, Meng Hui, Meng Yi, and their friends learn about this world and enter it, butterfly-effect-like changes occur, such as the appearance of a tenth and eleventh layer... So where did this world come from? Who discovered it first? Unknown and mysterious, there are also organizations beyond the Black Dream. What are their goals?
