This Person He Shen

The novel is based on official history and truly and objectively describes the life of the famous corrupt official He Shen. It truly restores to the world how He Shen grew up as an orphan whose parents both died, went through hardships, persisted in studying, and finally grew into a poet and politician. The book is divided into two parts and records Heshen's merits and demerits, warning the world that they must not be arrogant due to favors, let alone emphasize learning over virtue, otherwise they will be like Heshen and will perish and lose their reputation. This novel and its characters are purely fictitious. Any similarity is purely coincidental and should not be imitated.
