Wuxia: Report! His Majesty Has Raised an Army in the Capital to Rebel

Su Xuan is reborn as the young emperor of the Jiuzhou Martial Dynasty. He had hoped to enjoy a peaceful reign, surrounded by three thousand beauties in his harem, but instead he inherits a complete mess.

The feudal lords stand in great numbers, the kingdoms are powerful, and a hundred schools of thought contend. Though he bears the title of emperor, the world has long been carved up by the feudal lords and kingdoms, who wage war against one another without end.

The only territory he can truly rule is the area within a hundred li of Shangjing. It has fewer than ten thousand people, fewer than a hundred horses, and fewer than a thousand taels of gold. The weapons and armor in the treasury are battered and decrepit.

He can't even put together a decent ceremonial guard, and the various feudal states humiliate him every chance they get.

Enough is enough.

So what if I have no soldiers or generals? I will take up my blade and mount my horse myself, slay enemy commanders and seize their banners. With a ceremonial guard of just eight hundred, I will raise an army, sweep across the world, destroy the feudal lords, subdue the kingdoms, and bring the hundred schools to heel.

That day, the news spread throughout the land.

"Urgent report! His Majesty has raised an army in the capital and has already taken eighteen cities in a row."

The feudal lords were stunned, the kingdoms terrified. Wherever his forces advanced, the world submitted.
