Great Ming: From the Start, I Talked Old Zhu into Going Independent

Su Yu transmigrated to the end of the Yuan dynasty, in the midst of a chaotic era of warfare and constant clashes between rebel armies across the land.

Knowing history, he had planned to go to Haozhou and join Guo Zixing, hoping to use the opportunity to get in Zhu Yuanzhang's good graces as well.

But by sheer coincidence, he ran into Zhu Yuanzhang outside Haozhou first. In that case, forget joining Guo Zixing.

They would strike out on their own and build a great enterprise!

From then on,

he marched west to defeat Chen Youliang, south to crush Zhang Shicheng, and north to bring the land under control. He opened sea routes, built trains, and conquered foreign peoples, slaughtering the Japanese...

He civilized the barbarians and colonized the world!

Years later, as he watched envoys from all nations come to pay tribute, the aged Zhu Yuanzhang sighed to Crown Prince Zhu Biao.

"Back then, I wouldn't even have dared dream of becoming emperor."

"Nine-tenths of the credit for the Ming dynasty and everything we've achieved goes to your adoptive father."
