Livestream: You Asked Me to Sell Products, Not Rule the Music Scene

Zhang Yang transmigrates to a parallel world, where he becomes a washed-up livestream shopping host who has been fired by his company and is completely broke.

Then unscrupulous merchants drive down the price of the rice from his hometown, forcing Zhang Yang to start livestreaming sales again.

Zhang Yang: "I may not be able to show you all the beauty of the world, but I can let you taste the rice of Xiangnan and experience the sights and flavors of its land."

Then a song, "The Fragrance of Rice," takes everyone back to the joys of childhood and teaches them to be content with what they have.

When the rice wine from a local farm in his hometown fails to sell, Zhang Yang goes live again.

Zhang Yang: "When life is good, enjoy it to the fullest. Don't let your golden cup sit empty beneath the moon."

A young person drinks for the person they once were; a middle-aged person drinks to drown their sorrows; an old person drinks in the taste of life.

With heartfelt chats, informative content, and sales pitches delivered through original songs, Zhang Yang helps his village solve one problem after another.

And the songs he uses to sell products unknowingly come to dominate the entire Chinese music scene!
