Journey to the West: I Defeated Sha Wujing and Fought Wukong, but I'm Not Crazy, I'm Tang Sanzang

Chen Xuan transmigrates into Journey to the West and becomes Tang Sanzang, just after crossing the Flowing Sand River.

The skulls of the previous nine incarnations of the Golden Cicada, which Sha Wujing had eaten, turned into a dark wind and merged with Chen Xuan's body.

He gathers nine relics of his true body, regains the memories of his ten lives, and establishes the Golden Cicada Buddha Kingdom.

He eliminates the sinister and scheming Sha Wujing, supports Zhu Bajie as he plays the pig to eat the tiger, and keeps the treacherous Wukong in check. Chen Xuan becomes the true leader of the pilgrimage team.

He pits his wits against the ambitious Tathagata, the venomous and scheming Guanyin, the calculating Old Lord, and the lawless Jade Emperor.

On the pilgrimage to the world of "Extreme Evil in the West," he unravels one plot within another and grows ever stronger.

Guanyin: "I spent five hundred years painstakingly planning, only for Tang Sanzang to reap all the rewards!"

Tathagata: "That wretched disciple, the Golden Cicada, has betrayed his teacher and ancestors!"

Old Lord: "Golden Cicada, you are the most secret move in this old Daoist's plan! You pest, obey me and go destroy the Peach Garden!"

Jade Emperor: "When did this chess piece become a player?"

Chen Xuan: "The eighty-first trial: seizing the throne at Thunderclap Monastery! This is my plan!"
