I Was Assassinated by an Ice Cream Assassin and Blew Through My Family Fortune

I was assassinated by the Ice Cream Assassin and lost my entire fortune, so I had no choice but to leave home and wander from place to place. Eventually, I settled in an old, dilapidated church.

There, I saw a priest, I saw the Lord, and I also saw... a statue. It was a snake coiled around the altar.

Countless times, I had imagined what I would become after I died. I had already prepared myself for it, just like I had when I graduated from college.

But even now, I was still alive, and continuing to exist in another sense.

I sat at the altar for a long time. The sun was setting by the time the priest finally announced the start of the Christmas Eve dinner and invited me to join. But I declined.

"I need to leave this church now," I said. "I need to find somewhere to stay."

The priest smiled and asked what help I needed.

I told him I hoped I could stay at his house for a while and borrow some money from him.
