The Hit Novel System Saves a Failing Author

Gan Luting, a web novelist whose work never took off, prepared to spend the rest of his life in a border town, full of despair. He had kept writing for years, yet could only scrape by on sign-in assistance payments. His novels had barely any readers, and he had abandoned quite a few unfinished stories. When he arrived in a place called Huaihua Town, he unexpectedly ran into the goddess he had secretly loved in high school. They were staying at the same inn, and after confessing their feelings to each other, he finally got to be with her. But as his travel funds began to run out, he discovered that he was living through the protagonist's story in one of his old collections. He had to finish several web novels that had been on hiatus for three years within six months, or both he and the woman he loved would die. To save her, he had no choice but to give his all to writing again. Then he encountered the Hit Novel System, and his talent erupted. Only after finishing the last of the unfinished works that had been on hiatus for years, a masterpiece by a web-novel great, did he realize that the mastermind behind it all, the God of Fate, was closing in on him.
