A Hero with a Hundred First-Class Merits, Exposed by a Wish Show

Season Eight of Back to Field begins filming in an ancient cliffside village in the Taihang Mountains.

The Mushroom House is set in the stone home of an anti-Japanese war hero.

A boy suddenly appears inside, claiming to be the hero's great-grandson and demanding the ancestral home back.

The village chief questions him repeatedly. The old hero had no children, so this great-grandson must be an impostor!

But the boy recalls his great-grandfather's heroic deeds as if he had witnessed them himself.

Only then do people learn that this anti-Japanese war hero was officially credited with five major achievements and eight first-class merits!

He was the Lu Bu of the army. He had no Sky Piercer, but he wielded an ancestral great cleaver, its notched blade embedded with Japanese soldiers' skulls!

He was a triumphant warrior who hacked down 27 Japanese soldiers and took on 65 single-handedly, killing every one of them!

And the unrecorded medals for meritorious service? He had earned a hundred of them!

Behind those hundred medals lay one little-known tale after another.

Looking at the old hero's great-grandson, Teacher Huang felt that he looked more and more like someone familiar.
