Journey to the West: I, Tang Sanzang, Will Defeat Tathagata and Become the Buddha

When Tang Xuan discovered that he had transmigrated into Tang Sanzang, he was practically over the moon!

Tang Sanzang was the man who could become a Buddha just by taking a trip full of harmless little dangers!

For an ordinary nobody like him, transmigrating into Tang Sanzang was a stroke of unbelievable luck.

Not go on the Journey to the West? Ruin the Journey to the West?

What kind of nonsense was that? Only a fool would pass it up!

He might not approve of Buddhist teachings, but...

Why not overthrow the Tathagata and become the Buddha himself?

As for how to overthrow the Tathagata...

As a transmigrator, who doesn't have a golden finger?

Tang Xuan had one too: a merit stele that could make one portion of merit count as ten.

Just imagine: after obtaining the scriptures, Tang Sanzang would originally be named the Sandalwood Merit Buddha for his immense merit!

What if his merit were multiplied tenfold...

Heh! The mere Tathagata probably wouldn't be much of a match!

So Tang Sanzang set himself a modest little goal: enjoy the Journey to the West, crush the Tathagata, and take his place!
