Siheyuan: Starting Out as a Hooligan

A dandy is not the same thing as a hooligan.

A dandy is part of Beijing's local culture. He may not have a proper job, but that doesn't necessarily mean he is uneducated.

What matters most is treating play as serious business: you have to make an art of it and devote yourself to having fun.

It's a state of mind and a way of life, with no necessary connection to family background.

Lin Weijun wants to be an aristocrat among dandies.
