Showbiz: To Pay Off My Debts, I Made Ten Years of Terrible Movies

The man standing before you is China's first Cannes Best Actor.

He's swept the Golden Rooster Awards, winning Best Newcomer, Best Actor, and Most Popular Actor.

He won the Golden Horse Award for Best Actor eleven years ago and the Hong Kong Film Award for Best Actor thirteen years ago.

Then financial troubles landed him in prison. Forced to take whatever roles he could to pay off his debts, he became the king of terrible movies!

After ten years of bad films, with both his influence and reputation at rock bottom, Su Chen finally ends his contract with his agency.

He holds in his hand a termination agreement, a symbol of freedom.

Looking at the movies playing in theaters, he can't help shaking his head.

"Ten years, and there still hasn't been a single one that can hold its own?"

When Su Chen announces his return at a press conference with Dying to Survive, many new fans mock him.

"Isn't he the king of terrible movies?"

"I knew it. You're bringing another bad movie to squeeze money out of us, aren't you?"

At that, countless longtime fans are moved to tears!

"He's back!"

"Everyone, rise! Su Chen has finally paid off his debt!!"
