Great Tang: Rebelling? Your Father Is Li Shimin

At the end of the Sui Dynasty, Li Kuan, Li Shimin's eldest son, was lost among the common people.

In the first year of the Zhenguan era, after becoming emperor, Li Shimin secretly visited Li Kuan again, only to hear something terrifying:

"Father, let's rebel!"

"Are emperors and generals born to their station?"

"Let's stockpile provisions, build high walls, and wait to claim the throne..."

"When the time comes, you can be emperor, Father, and I'll be Crown Prince!"

"Haha! The throne goes around, and tomorrow it'll be my turn!"

What?

His own son wants to rebel against him?

Li Shimin was stunned. That was a crime punishable by exterminating nine generations of the family!!!

"Are you really that sure?" Li Shimin asked, keeping his composure.

"Absolutely!"

"Father, great calamity will soon befall the Tang Dynasty. When it does, all we need to do is raise the banner of rebellion, and the empire will be ours for the taking!"

Calamity for the Tang Dynasty?

Li Shimin was shocked, and a thought stirred in his heart. "Good. Let's do it!"

"Tell me, do you need land or people? I'll send you everything!"

"That's the spirit! With a father as generous as you, how could we fail to achieve greatness?"
