Great Ming: The Truth Is Out, I'm Building a Rebel Army by Imperial Decree

Born into the Ming dynasty, Zhu Yuntong becomes the famously ill-fated imperial grandson.

Determined not to end up under house arrest and die an untimely death, Zhu Yuntong works hard from childhood.

At three, he crawls into a cowshed to study cowpox, but fails. His older brother Zhu Xiongying dies of smallpox.

At four, he studies medicine, focusing on typhoid, but takes the wrong approach. His father, Zhu Biao, dies of an untreated carbuncle on his back.

His imperial grandfather is growing old, his second brother Zhu Yunwen is cold and ungrateful, and his fourth uncle Zhu Di rules the north with grand ambitions... Knowing how history will unfold, Zhu Yuntong understands that without his father and brother to protect him, he has no chance of living in peace unless he stages a rebellion.

He builds up his wealth, making a fortune every day through overseas trade.

He establishes his reputation, riding across the plains as thousands of miles turn red with blood.

He cultivates his forces, making the three great camps around the capital invincible.

One day, as Zhu Yuanzhang lies on his deathbed, he summons Zhu Yuntong to his bedside. "My grandson is so talented. Why would you need to rebel? The capable should rule this realm. Passing the throne to you is the best choice."

Zhu Yuntong: "..."

So my rebellion was always tacitly approved?
