The story of the Population Era takes place in the future. In 2175 AD, a deadly virus broke out across the world, causing a devastating catastrophe. The world suffered from diseases, wars, and turmoil. Three years later, the world's total population was reduced by half. In order to deal with the domestic population crisis, the President of China delegated central authority to provincial party committee secretaries across the country.
