My Ancestor Was the Ghost King of Fengdu, So What Does That Have to Do with Me Joining the Daoist Sect?

"My grandfather is a thousand-year-old Corpse King, my grandmother is the Ghost King of Fengdu, my father is the Lord of the Demon Realm, and my mother is the top lady of the Black Mountain Yao Clan. Can I join the Taoist sect?"

Lu Xuan's words plunged the entire Taoist sect into dead silence.

"Other people join the Taoist sect with a body full of righteous energy. But you? Your family has passed down crooked ways for three generations!"

"You want to join the Taoist sect? You should be grateful we haven't put you to death on the spot."

"Tell us the truth. Are you here to be a spy?"

"The underworld has six realms. Since when did it have an undercover agent?"

Lu Xuan looked up. "What my ancestors were has nothing to do with me joining the Taoist sect, does it?"

After a moment's thought, the Celestial Master of the Taoist sect said, "Why don't you try the Buddhist sect?"

A Buddhist master clutched his relic. "You wicked creature, leave, or don't blame this humble monk for killing you!"

Rejected by both Taoism and Buddhism, Lu Xuan got dead drunk and laughed up at the sky. "Taoism won't take me, and Buddhism won't save me. Today, I, Lu Xuan, will cleave open Heaven's Gate with my sword and establish an Immortal Sect, becoming lord of all immortals."

"I'm sorry, Grandpa, Grandma, Father, Mother. I really don't want to inherit what you've built."
