Zhu Yuanzhang: I Banned the Seas, and You Crown Yourself Overseas?

After transmigrating to the eighth year of the Hongwu reign of the Ming dynasty, Zhu Su decided he couldn't keep tagging along with Yuanzhang, Zhu Di, and Yunwen. He would go overseas, found an empire on which the sun never set, surpass the achievements of the Ming, and spread the unparalleled civilization of Huaxia.

So he submitted a petition to open up trade, enraging Zhu Yuanzhang, who sent him to Qiongzhou, a savage frontier.

Originally, Zhu Yuanzhang only meant to teach Zhu Su a lesson and planned to let him return to the capital after a year.

Who could have guessed...

Yuanzhang: "Su'er wiped out the Japanese pirates in just six months?"

Yuanzhang: "Su'er established a trade bureau in Qiongzhou, with annual trade reaching a hundred million taels?"

Yuanzhang: "Su'er's territory has become a center of debate between Neo-Confucianism and the School of Mind, and he's even started some sort of Industrial Revolution? What's that?"

Yuanzhang: "Su'er conquered Champa! And he took all of Fusang, too???"

Yuanzhang: "Su'er, come back! I've reconsidered who should inherit the throne. What? You're not coming back? You've already declared yourself emperor overseas?"
