Fake Taoist: You Actually Asked Me to Come Down the Mountain and Catch Ghosts

Ye Xuan transmigrates to a parallel world and becomes the youngest sect leader of Wudang Mountain.

Forced to make a living, he sometimes pretends to be a fortune-teller, reading feng shui for the villagers below the mountain, driving out evil spirits, and performing rituals. Life is fairly carefree.

Then one day, people from the Paranormal Affairs Department come knocking.

Twelve workers have mysteriously vanished while renovating an abandoned hospital in Linzhou. They ask Ye Xuan to come down the mountain and help.

"If I really had those kinds of skills, why would I be stuck up here, waiting out my days? I'd have gone down the mountain and enjoyed life in the martial world long ago!"

Ye Xuan curses inwardly and refuses without hesitation.

Just then, the Daoist Merit System awakens, and Ye Xuan inherits the legacy of the Great Emperor Zhenwu...

He can also earn merit points by killing ghosts and monsters, use them to improve his cultivation, and draw magical artifacts, Daoist arts, and more...
