Great Ming: A Daoist Trickster Convinces Jiajing to Reject the Mulberry-for-Rice Plan

Zhu Ze transmigrates to the thirty-ninth year of the Jiajing era of the Ming Dynasty. Corruption runs rampant in the officialdom, the people are burdened with exorbitant taxes and levies, treacherous ministers control the court, and even the upright officials each have their own agendas.

The Ming Dynasty's decline grows ever more apparent, while the Jiajing Emperor still dabbles in alchemy...

In troubled times, harsh laws are needed. To cure a long-standing illness, use a bold remedy!

Zhu Ze decides to disguise himself as a Taoist priest and start spinning tales!

Jiajing: "Master, the treasury is empty. I want to make the people suffer a little."

Zhu Ze: "The people are all poor. It would take too long to get money from them..."

Jiajing: "Master, I want to build a little pavilion."

Zhu Ze: "The omens are dire. Give it some time, and I'll build you a grand villa of reinforced concrete..."

Jiajing: "Master, either become my son or accept a princely title."

Zhu Ze: "..."

Yan Song: "Zhu Ze's scheming is far beyond that of ordinary people. This old man is thoroughly impressed!"

The Japanese: "Spare us! We won't dare invade the Ming again!"

Goryeo: "It's our greatest honor to be the Ming's *!"
