Wuxia: Lying Flat in Emei, I Teach Zhiruo the Nine Swords of Dugu

On a snowy day at Mount Emei, several bolts of lightning struck a point above the main hall.

"What the heck? Why is there thunder in the middle of a snowstorm? And why did it strike a person?"

Before her death, Abbess Fengling said, "This man has a remarkable destiny. Treat him with respect, and do not restrain him."

And so Chen Yu began to lie flat at Mount Emei.

He built a two-story wooden house nestled against the mountain, beside a stream and a bamboo grove.

Every day, he wandered around the mountain: enjoying flowers in spring, catching fish in summer, and picking wild fruit all over the mountain in autumn.

In winter, he basked in the sun and dozed, roasting sweet potatoes, peanuts, and game over the stove.

"That martial uncle just wanders around all day. I thought he must be formidable, but it turns out he doesn't know a thing about martial arts..."

Signing in at Mount Emei brought generous daily rewards. After all these years, Chen Yu had long since become invincible under heaven.

Zhou Zhiruo had been bringing him meals since she was little. "Martial Uncle Chen Yu, I'm taking part in the annual sword competition in a few days."

"I'll teach you three sword moves. Give Ding Minjun a lesson for always badmouthing me behind my back."

Mount Emei is wonderful. We don't need to venture into the martial world.
