Showbiz: From Has-Been to Superstar, Starting with Soul Ferry

Bu Pingfan is a popular star on Blue Star, a parallel world.

A fifteen-year contract leaves him so busy every day that he can barely catch his breath.

Fortunately, he awakens the Cooling Down System, which gives him more rewards the less popular he becomes.

"Getting famous is hard, but surely I can figure out how to tank my career?"

His agent brings him scripts for movies, TV dramas, and web series.

No need to think about it. I'll take this web series, Spirit Ferry!

If I star in a ghost story, surely that'll cool my career down!

You want me to sing?

Sure. I'll sing "Little Apple"!

It's tacky, vulgar, and corny. This is bound to tank!

Go on a variety show?

Everyone's into fast-paced entertainment? I'll go on the slow-paced Back to the Countryside.

I'll head to the countryside to cook and farm! A show like that is sure to tank!

The tackier the songs, the better! The worse the reviews for the movies and dramas, the better!

I'll be a maverick on variety shows and a sharp-tongued judge.

I'll pick fights with haters whenever I can and expose other celebrities.

Xinmin Online: "Bu Pingfan is the most extraordinary artist in the entertainment industry."

Bu Pingfan was close to tears. "I just want to tank my career!!!"
