Journey to the West: A Storyteller’s Tale of the Monkey King’s Instant Sainthood

Jiang Xiaoyu transmigrates to ancient times and awakens the Storytelling System. The more stories he tells, the greater the rewards.

He tells the story of Journey to the West: The so-called immortals are nothing but a bunch of selfish hypocrites. The so-called Buddhas are nothing but a bunch of phony moralists who manipulate people's minds.

The Lingxiao Palace is full of people plotting against one another, while the Western Paradise is full of people who pretend to be compassionate but are vicious at heart. The White Bone Spirit of White Bone Cave and the python spirit of Python Cave are just outsiders who never paid tribute.

If you want to cultivate into an immortal, you have to bribe the Nine Heavens.

If you want to attain immortality and the Dao, you have to give up wealth and beauty.

In that moment, the little monkey understood. To truly change this filthy Three Realms, he had to kill any god who stood in his way, kill any Buddha who stood in his way, and slaughter any demon who stood in his way. Only I decide my fate, not Heaven. Whether I'm a Buddha or an immortal, that's for me alone to decide!

The little monkey became a sage in a single thought. The Buddhas were stunned, the gods were dumbfounded, and everyone with connections panicked.

Jiang Xiaoyu laughed heartily and struck the storyteller's block with a bang. "Today, we're telling A Chinese Odyssey."
