Heaven-Devouring Mark

The wilderness stretched beneath towering mountains and endless, rolling ranges. Mountains tens of thousands of feet high were everywhere. Across the boundless mountain chains lived all kinds of strange creatures: birds that spat flames a hundred feet long, ferocious beasts that lived on thunder, and auspicious spirits that left evergreen growth wherever they went.

One day, the sky shattered, the mountains shook, and scarlet light engulfed the land. They all rushed to him, giving up their lives to herald his birth.
