Genesis: The Legend of Haotian

Before heaven and earth were separated, all was dark and still, devoid of life.

Then Pangu cleaved open the primordial void, dividing yin and yang and establishing heaven and earth.

** nurtured and gave rise to all things, upon which all creation depends.

To understand the natural workings of creation, one must read the Record of Haotian **.

In the beginning, there was neither heaven nor earth, nor were there any living things. The universe was shrouded in endless darkness, a formless chaos.

No one knows how long it lasted before a single qi emerged from the chaos. This primal qi was the true qi of the Great Dao, the source of all the energy on which heaven, earth, and all things depend for survival.

The true qi transformed into a deity who called himself the Primordial Heavenly King. He created heaven and earth and brought the world into being, and so the story began.
