Pokemon: My Caterpie Can Evolve into Rayquaza

After Gao Xiaobai earns an undefeated record of eighty consecutive wins in the league, he is interviewed by a reporter.

Gao Xiaobai says, "Isn't this something anyone can do?"

Rayquaza, evolved from the Caterpie on his left, nods emphatically in agreement. The Ninja Turtle, evolved from Squirtle* on his right, is just as convinced.

Behind him, Venusaur, who is massaging his shoulders, says, "I evolved from Bulbasaur, you know. I don't understand any of this."

Osiris the Sky Dragon, circling overhead, grins. "I just love how clueless you all are. Years ago, I was a Charmander too."

The Winged Dragon of Ra flies over and grabs the Sky Dragon by the neck. "Even if I mutated, your Pikachu will always be your Pikachu. Got it?"

A lighthearted, funny coming-of-age story, with battles and plenty of passion, too.
