Journey to the West: Telling the Story of Buddhism Is Taoism at the Foot of Spirit Mountain

Zhou Yuan transmigrates into Journey to the West and activates the Storyteller System.

As long as he tells stories, he can earn rewards. And once he collects enough character fragments, he can even bring the people in his stories into Journey to the West!

“High above, I dwell among the clouds, on my cushion, understanding the truth. Beyond Heaven, Earth, and the Yellow Mystery, I am destined to be the Supreme Teacher. Pangu gave birth to the Supreme Ultimate, from which the Two Forms and Four Images followed. I passed on the Way to three friends, and the two teachings divided into Chan and Jie. Leader of the Daoist sect, from one breath I became the Three Pure Ones…”

But when Zhou Yuan starts telling the tale of Buddha Is the Way at the foot of Mount Ling, the heavens and earth suddenly change color!

Tathagata Duobao: “Wukong the Daoist? How does he know the next calamity’s protagonist will be named Wukong?”

Zhunti: “Buddha Is the Way? Damn it! Those words alone have instantly shattered countless years of fortune in the West!”

The Three Xiao Sisters: “Could Mr. Zhou Yuan be Zhou Qing from the story? The hope of the Jie Sect’s revival may rest with him!”

The Celestial Court: “Someone, confer on Zhou Yuan the title of Great Emperor Ziwei of the North Pole, Lord of the Central Heavens! He must be rewarded!”

Daoist Qingping: “I, Tongtian, pay my respects to Zhou Yuan, leader of the Heavenly Dao Sect!”

And when Zhou Yuan tells stories like Perfect World, Shrouding the Heavens, and Saint King, Journey to the West becomes a very different story…
